British-born Peter Hall graduated from London’s Royal College of Art in 1961 before a 44-year long career as a textile designer. His freelance design work took him all over the world, travelling extensively through Europe, before eventually leading him to settle in South Africa in 1976 before a move to Howick in 1987. Known for his post war fabric designs including Verdure, Tivoli and Volution for Heals Department Store his work is extensively collected, both locally and internationally including in the collection of the Victoria and Albert Museum, London.
